Last Monday (June 28, 2010) we watched the Toy Story3 the movie at the cinema somewhere here in Davao City. The story really made me laughed and also made me cry at the end of the movie, there was a part that was kind of touchy…! Let me share the story with you. And the story goes likes this…
The story started with the flash back to Andy as a child, through his imaginative play captured on video and realized through a fantasy opening sequence involving a train robbery, wrecked bridge, flying spaceship and hoards of swarming monkeys. Now seventeen years old, Andy has outgrown his old toys and is preparing to move to college. Andy’s mommy told Andy that he have to decide weather his toys will be move to trash, donate or store his toys in the attic. Although he ignored his toys for many years, his toys were hoping that Andy will keep them around and maybe play with them again, or in the future Andy will pass them on to his own kids. Andy chooses Woody to be with him in college and the rest will be stored in the attic. But Andy’s mom mistakenly puts the bag on the curb where they are almost picked up by a garbage truck. They decided to leave Andy because they thought that they don’t want him anymore. They choose to live their life in a day care. Where, on first inspection, their futures look bright but what they thought was a big mistake! these preschools seem to be unleashed from the evil underworld. The kids smash and chew and stomp on their toys, and they even smear them in paint! By the end of playtime, the classroom looks like a war zone. It is run like a prison by a mean teddy bear that was abandoned by his owner and has taken twisted revenge on all toys, building up a hierarchy of privilege and punishment for all donations to the day care. Woody escapes, leaving his friends behind and the new Barbie character finds a Ken to dream over. When all of them tried to escape they have passed many struggles before they get back into Andy’s home. Woody wrote Andy a note to give all of his toys to Bonnie with the address of the house. Andy plays one last time with the toys before leaving to college. The toys are shown to be happy in the care of Bonnie. While in the Sunnyside is shown to be a happy place under the leadership of Ken and Barbie.
